Hello, would like to know moving to another EU member state what is qualified as "exercising treaty rights".. is job seeking also included in this?? I'm asking as I'm currently in the Philippines with my wife, I've been here since before Christmas and we are planning on going to Spain, her family live in Gran Canaria and are permanent citizens there and will gain citizenship in June, so they have agreed we can stay there with them for the meantime.. I was speaking with myeurope chat and they told me that all we need is to show the consulate here in Manila just 2 documents, marriage certificate and passport.. so im hoping its as straight forward as it sounds.. but im just wondering what if i dont find a job in spain, as you all know things are quite bad there at the moment like everywhere else.. would job seeking be classed as exercising treaty right, so that if i stayed there for 3-6 months, then return to the uk with my wife.. would appreciate your help, thanks.
