While Spaniards generally need to be 18 to marry, people as young as 14 can do so with permission from a judge or their family.

they will not accept our NSO marriage certificate authenticated by the DFA, which also has a sealed stamp from the British Embassy for my wife's spouse of an EU citizen's Schengen visa application :cwm23:

We deposited our marriage certificate at the British embassy to the General Registry Office (GRO) in the UK, they will write to us within 3-4 weeks to let us know that it has been successfully deposited in the UK.. so hoping then we could then order a true copy from the GRO with their sealed stamp hoping this will be enough to satisfy the Spanish consulate..
