Hi another newbie here! Im Summer and engaged to a Brit. He will coming this April 27 and we booked an schedule at the British Embassy Manila on April 30 to exchange his CNI. And as a fiancee, I need some documents to bring like my CENOMAR, BIRTH CERTIFICATE and PASSPORT. My question is, does the embassy keep my ORIGINAL documents or they'll only need a xerox copy? I only have 1 original copy of each requirements. Im afraid. Does anyone know so my mind is at rest. Please help :bigcry: Thank you!

Hi I did this in march with the British consulate at Cebu. We had to show original documents and give them good photo copies of each. They should only keep the photo copies . But they have to be clear copies. My wife had to go and get replacement copies of her birth certificate as hers wern't clear enough.

Another question is, do I need to bring my Parents Consent Letter as I am only 24 years old?

Hi ,I don't believe you do , But take it with you with a photo copy just incase. It's always better to take more documents than you think you need just in case
