View Full Version : UK Partner Visa Has Been Issued
Moving Forward

Good news for us.
My wife has just received 'the email' stating that her visa will be dispatched shortly.
Timeline
We submitted our application to VFS in Manila on the 26th of Feb.
We had a text from the UK Embassy on the 28th saying they had received the documents for processing.
We received the email today, 22nd April, that the visa will be dispatched.
Our partner visa application was based on meeting the financial requirement by self employment.
Before my wife leaves for the UK she will go back to the CFO and get her sticker in the passport. She will also visit the NSO for 4 copies of the marriage certificate, and also apply for an international drivers licence.
Her passport has recently been renewed in her new name.
I think the main documents to bring with her to the UK have been covered and she is good to go. :)
I will probably book the flight for a fortnights time or so.
Thank you for all the help.

We received the visa within 24 hours after they said it had been dispatched.
Now that she has it, we can see that it was issued from the 18th of this month. This was 5 days after we received notification that the visa was being dispatched.
This fits right in with the time I thought it would be processed by.
Unfortunately, many of the documents were not returned. I will start a new thread about this.

Thanks & Good Luck.
She will be arriving this Sunday, early morning - hopefully, at this time of day, the immigration staff willl be half asleep and won't give her a grilling.

hi, those who had their applications before Feb. 28, 2013 when you landed on the UK were you asked for a TB certificate?

No they didn't ask for TB certificate upon arrival in the UK.
My wife's flight was timed to arrive early on a Sunday morning at Heathrow. She just walked through no questions asked.

Ah ok thanks. May I know when did she submit her spousal visa application? was it in the visa center in manila? when did she arrive there?
looking forward to your reply.
