Well the £ is gathering strength again now we have whopping growth at 0.3% give or take 0.2% :icon_rolleyes:

Yes pleasantly surprised when we checked IRemit rate today and it was 63.65 that's almost 2.5 more than a month ago. Happy days.

A nice round figure of 100 would be good but I don't think it's been that high since Graham was a lad. :biggrin:

...from p38 to £1 in 1990. :doh

Then again, the rent on my apartment in Manila was only p2,500 a month, and it cost 40 quid for a settlement visa. :smile:

Think the best rate was around 2005 or 2006? I moved what little money i had in the UK around that time and got 96. Now regret that decision as last month i had to pay something in the UK and it was a pain trying to transfer the money.

Was around 30 in the mid to late eighties but who cared as it still didn't seem expensive :biggrin:
