Cheap travel insurance may not be a bargain

As with all insurance you only get to find out when it comes to claim time . I posted this last year on this thread http://filipinaroses.com/showthread.php/40956-Travel-insurance?highlight=insurance

You can get a cheaper deal on the same ACE policy with Atlas Direct but they are a nightmare when it comes to a claim - ended up having to deal direct with the underwriters ACE directly who I found to be an efficient professional operation. I always remember my Dad saying the test of an insurance policy is when it come to making a claim.

Reading the small print and possibly seeing how easy they are to contact if you need them is important. Also make sure you have your Ehic cards as most European insurance is expecting you to have..
