buying plane ticket in uk

hello everyone
looking for some advice , my ladyfreind in china wants to come to uk but she says the plane tickets are very expensive there ,ive had a quick look around here online and the fees here are half what they are in china for a ticket .what I would like to know is can I buy her ticket for her in uk and send it on to her ,sorry if this sounds like a daft question or is this not allowed ?
failing that can anyone recommend a website in china that offers cheap competitive prices

i take it she has a visa to come,
i would think you can buy a ticket for her from uk, if you do it online she can print out her ticket from a computer herself, but the airline may ask for the credit card details that paid for the flight , from her at the airport, so how well do you know her
