My mahal has a thing about tulips. We were thinking of driving over to Norfolk around the 25th of this month to have a look. It's not a county that I know very well and I have two questions for anyone who does know it: one, where is the best place to see them (online I found some at Kings Lynn and Narborough) and two, will there still be any left ? (Spring has been a bit late, so I'm hoping for the best). I thought I might get more sense out of the forum than from some of the locals "Toolips, bor? Go and roid your dickey to the pear and drink some bear".

I thought Holland was the place for Tulips. As far as I'm aware Norfolk is only lavender, broads and carrot crunchers

Tulips have only just begun to bloom up here in Scotland, but we are fortunate in having a grand, colourful display ... thanks to my wife's tender ministrations.

Meaning I need to exercise extra care in dismantling and rebuilding a section of an ornamental *:peepwall: (I first constructed in the mid -1970s) bordering one of our flowerbeds ... following *its partial collapse during the all~too~recent, harsh wintry conditions.
Off now ... ... to [hopefully!] finish the job I started on Monday.

Ahh, Norfolk, I lived there for 20 years. Don't remember it being famed for tulips though. Go a little north of Norfolk to Linconshire and Spalding then your find tulips everywhere.

Oh yes, now I have memories of Spalding Flower Festival. We went quite a few times. Fantastic day out. But very crowded.
I saw on the TV news a few days ago that there a was big big shortage of tulips in the festival this year.

Thanks for the tip, Keith and Terpe, it seems that you're right about Spalding.
