:Hellooo: ... at the advanced age of 87, H M Queen Elizabeth II is the most elderly monarch ever to have occupied the throne of Great :Britain: ... making her eldest son, HRH, Charles Prince of Wales, the oldest heir apparent in British History.

However, Elizabeth R, is NOT our longest~reigning Sovereign, :nono-1-1: such honour - as yet unbeaten - being vested in her great-great grandmother, Queen Victoria ... who reigned for a total of around sixty-four years from 1837 until her death in January 1901, aged "only" [by comparison] eighty-one.

Well, if she lives as long as her mum...

In a way, the Queen has been a mother to all of us.

I watched that programme about her on TV tonight. What a wonderful role model, and as a young woman....gorgeous too.

Long may she continue to reign over us. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

I like the Queen, so this is not royalty bashing, but they do get the very best in medical care.
Do we?
