According to the papers, summer 2013 is going to be similar to the last one, a washout. Promoters of Glastonbury, Reading, Isle of Wight, Wimbledon and f1 have voiced fears of a repeat of last year's washout.....let's hope the papers are wrong. It wouldn't be the first time :NoNo:

Yesterday was such a nice day I managed to go more then twice around my usual cycle route.

Luckily today's a bit cool and a bit black so I can stay home for a while and recover. I'm a bit sore and stiff.

I set off on my bike yesterday, after spending ages adjusting and oiling, and it immediately started peeing it down. :Brick:

They do say, no such thing as bad weather only bad clothing.
Get down to your local Sports Direct and see what Muddy Fox kit they're offering at huge discounts. Cheap prices and not bad quality.
A few weeks ago I bought a fabulous lightweight 'breathing' waterproof reduced from £79.99 to £6.99 :yikes:

It's actually very very good.

grahamw48
17th May 2013, 19:04
You're right Peter.

I've actually got all the bad weather gear...and top quality stuff too, from my intended cross-world trip. Mostly 'Altura' brand. Been hanging in the wardrobe for the past 5 years. :icon_rolleyes:

I gave myself a good scolding afterwards for being a weak-willed so and so. :NoNo:

However, I do also have another excuse for having aborted this maiden journey on this particular (son's) bike, in that my chainset/crank had a bad wobble on it.

After closer examination, looks like the bottom bracket is knacked...dammit. :Brick:
