It's me again. Sorry, it's me again.
Can someone explain to me the marriage visitor visa? Steps and requirements?

The Marriage Visit visa is just what the name suggests.
It's a UK visit visa for the specific purpose of coming to UK in order to get married.
As with all other visitor visa's the holder is expected to return home before visa expiry.
In addition to the evidential documentation as a general visitor you'll need to clearly show the intention to get married within the period for which entry is sought.
In practice this comes down to the ECO normally requiring to see evidence of the arrangements.
Hope that helps

Thank you Terpe.
Am I allowed to apply for this? I am a filipina, my boyfriend is a british, he cannot come here since he cannot get 10 days more off but I asked my boss and she said I can have a month leave from work, so I am thinking of applying for this as my fiance will shoulder all the expenses.
I am a filipina, he's a british, I will go there for about a month just to marry then I will go back here in the Philippines. After that visa expires, I will apply for a spouse visa, do you think it is an allowable route? Thank you.
And also, the requirements for this is not quite clear for me, do you know what are those? And if my boyfriend will sponsor me, is it also necessary to have a big amount savings from my own bank?
Thank you. :)

Visit this link and it'll tell you more about the visa. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/visiting/marriage-cp/requirements/
You have got to show that you intended to marry in the UK and on or before the visa expires you will exit the country. You also need to provide documents that shows your BF is capable of sponsoring you while you are in the UK like accomodation etc.

Yes dear I have been reading that for days now that is why I posted a thread because it is vague and I know there is someone who can help me to understand those.
What I am also concern is, if I already have a sponsor, will they still also look for my properties or own savings?
Thanks girl for the replies! I will hit a message to you privately! :)

Which is a bad thing because I am not sure if there is a way to send you a private message! lol

concerning a marriage visit visa, there are risks that it could be refused.
thou it is possible to marry a British citizen with a marriage visit visa, there will be concerns about you returning before your visa expires as with any visit visa.
have you traveled out side the phils before ? how many times have you met your b/f ?

I will really go back here as I will just take a leave of absence for three weeks or a month.
I haven't traveled outside the Phils but I will in November and that would be in HKG and I know it wouldnt count as I am thinking of applying for this on August. Also my boyfriend just went here once. :( for 6 days. We lived together for 6 days.
Fiancee visa costs a lot and it will be very devastating if we get refused in that visa. I just read about this marriage visitor and it will really suit us because instead him going here, I will be the one going there. He has stable job that let him earn 23,000 GBP annually and also he's a landlord of his apartment but will definitely be staying at his mum's since he rented out his apartment and they are just two there.

He has a kid, is it also important to include his kid's document like birth certificate in any visa that we will be applying?

even if you managed to get a marriage visit visa, you would have to go back to the phils and apply for a settlement visa, that's over 50,000php and you could be waiting up to 3 months
you would have to apply for marriage visit visa, pay for your flight to the uk, get married, go back to the phils and apply for another visa, a settlement visa and pay over 50,000php for it, then buy a flight to the uk.
instead of applying for 1 visa, your applying for 2, and 2 fee's
you've no travel history, and only met once for 6 days
possible you could get one, but i wouldn't guarantee it, but hey what do i know

Yes, you are allowed to apply for Marriage Visitor Visa.
This visa fits in with what you have described you want to do.
And also, the requirements for this is not quite clear for me, do you know what are those? And if my boyfriend will sponsor me, is it also necessary to have a big amount savings from my own bank?
Take a look at the UKBA webpage - Visitors for marriage or civil partnership (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/visiting/marriage-cp/)
Please be sure to follow all the related links
Also look at the UKBA webpage - Supporting Documents Guidance (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/out-of-country/visitors.pdf)
In addition to guidance on 'Visiting the United Kingdom (UK)' and 'General Visitor' please also see the section under 'Marriage Visitor'

One from another forum said, Marriage visitor visa is not for partners who intend to live in UK. Is this for good? And also in UKBA page, this one confused me, really.
"If you want to come to the UK to get married or register a civil partnership, and you and your partner intend to leave the country within 6 months, you can apply for a visa as a visitor for marriage or civil partnership."
Our plan is for me to go to UK with Marriage Visitor Visa, get married in UK, go back here and apply for a spouse visa. But that UKBA statement scared me that we need to leave UK? Even my boyfriend? or is it just for both foreign couples? I hope its not the thing for British citizen.

No one here can say if your application will be granted or not.
Read the UKBA links and requirements. It's really not complicated and the cost is very low.
The decision is made fairly quickly.
Important is to have the arrangements set up as required by UKBA, and to convince the ECO you will actually return home.
If you're not convinced you qualify for the Marriage visitor visa, then contact UKBA and ask them...
If someone on another forum has said you cannot apply then they are wrong.

And also , If I will be granted with this visa, Do I need to have show money? If I do, how much? As my boyfriend will shoulder all expenses. (return tickets, allowances, accommodation)

you will have to convince the ECO why you have not applied for a fiancee visa, which once married allows you to settle in the UK, as a marriage visit visa is for those not intending to settle in the UK.
