Hi everyone got married on the 2nd of June and had a lovely wedding at Plantation bay in Cebu and everything went without a hitch. My question is that we are ready to submit our visa application and i was on the understanding that i needed a marraige certificate issued by NSO, however we have been given a certificate issued by the registrar general, would this certficate be ok to use for aour visa application or di we need to wait for the one from the NSO as this can take a few weeks to get.

Don't think NSO copy takes too long if I remember rightly. Congratulations to you and your wife and good luck for the future! :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Ours took quite some time (at least 2 months) - we were in the same dilemma we wanted to submit the VISA but had not yet received the NSO certificate. My wife chased aggressively and eventually something happened at the NSO and we received the certificate.

It can take quite some time unless action is taken to ensure the certificate is secured in a hurry for a visa application.
Quite a few folks have been 'caught-out' by that one.

I read -
If you need to get your document within 1 or 2 working days, you are advised to apply in person at the Census Serbilis Center nearest you
has anyone done this? or is it best to apply online and wait the 10 days?

NeilH76.....you must understand that you will need to wait quite some time before your newly issued Marriage Record is transfered and filed at the NSO
Only when it's available at NSO will you be able to secure it.
The optimum route is to expedite the process according to the procedure outline in this forum thread called - Advance Endorsement Birth ,Marriage and Death Certificate (http://filipinaroses.com/showthread.php/44671-Advance-Endorsement-Birth-Marriage-and-Death-Certificate)
