Hi everyone,
I'm about to apply for spouse visa and been reading all the informations for the requirements. But I like to get some ideas and experiences to those been through the application about bank statement. I'm waiting for my husband's 6 months bank statement but sad to hear that his beginning balance of 6 months statement below 2 thousand but he said it will be accumulated and might be reached to 3 thousand this November end. Now I am in doubts to submit them to embassy. Is anyone here experienced having bank balance below 2 thousand pounds during the application and been approved with the visa? Hope to hear from u.....

I wouldn't expect that to be a problem, as long as there are regular payments in and out of the account. Many people keep their current account balance low because they can earn more interest by keeping the money on other accounts.

you have to prove, that you will have no need to have 'recourse to public funds', but as said on here many times , a balance of a few £1000's in your husbands current account should help you prove this , that's if your husband doesn't have a savings account with a few £1000s in..
if his balance on his statements has been steadily increasing, and his final statements show a few £1000's then i wouldn't have thought it be a problem.
infact it should be more difficult to prove this for a spouse visa than a fiancee' visa, as for a spouse visa you should have no 3rd party support and also becuase you can work on a spouse visa, but i've had 3rd party support thru all my visa apps :Erm: and not had a problem

when Rio applied my bank statements including saving were only around 3,000 or so , but i had saved from around 600 up to 3,000 in 6 months . this was more than enough to allow Rio to be granted a Via without any need for an interview:xxgrinning--00xx3: hope this info helps
