Hi,
Just a word of advise - having just been there and "failed"
We were married 2 weeks ago so though would be a good boy and register the marriage at the embassy
Did all the paperwork X 4 copies etc
The problem lies in the following - quite unique but worth a mention.
My wife had previously been married in America and divorced in America, got all the paperwork etc, we had a CENOMAR for both of us from NSO office - got last year (because we first thought we would marry there in PH so got those as a first thing) The CENOMAR lists my wife as being married to her EX so in theory according to the PH records she is still married to her EX on paper, even though we showed the divorce documents, but they cant accept our report of marriage until we have them authenticated by NSO in PH - well not going there till next year so they will have to wait now for our report of marriage! And they lost out on taking my £18 today as well!
We will see what fun we have now with the FLR visa with my dear friends at UKBA
