View Full Version : Spouse VISA Granted

Some good news after an anxious wait.

After about 30 working days from submitting our application at VFS, my wife has received her spouse VISA.

We're both very relieved and surprised it didn't take longer - we weren't expecting to hear anything until next month!

We tried to provide more evidence than is normally required and were very honest about everything, so perhaps this made things more straightforward for the embassy staff.

I would like to thank everyone for their help and support

After completing the online application form you are given a link to make payment. Payment is made in US dollars, so there may be some additional charges applied for conversion/handling fee by your bank.

Hi Andy. I am about to do the same. What time scales are you aiming for?
I mean have you sent you last bank statements etc yet? If so are you going to pay for the visa now ahead of documents arriving & hope they get there in 10 days?

Thanks again.
john

:xxgrinning--00xx3: ... congratulations, Chris. Mine are a little belated, I'm afraid, :icon_rolleyes: since I happened to be absent around the time you'd initially notified us of your good news. :icon_sorry:

I will get my last bank statement next week John and fly out on 3rd September.
I am going over to meet my wife in manila then we can hand the documents in. That way I know they wont get lost between here and the VFS. At least that way if they do get lost I know who to blame.

Good idea Andy :) i took 95% of the evidence over in July now just to send the last few bits in early October via DHL.

Hope all goes well and Gods blessings on you, I know you have had a long haul waiting for all this to happen. I cant wait to hear "Spouse Visa" Granted!

I echo the words of John.
More power to you Andy. It's been quite a road you've followed but you've stuck at it and achieved the necessary platform for making that application.
I sincerely wish to hear good news from you in due course.
I'm sure all forum members feel the same. We're always here to support your efforts and help keep you going until your goal is achieved. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Thanks Terpe just doing my stepdaughters online application now. After a night shift.:doh:biggrin:.
By the way John thanks for the good wishes. When you submit and pay for the online application you will get a message saying wait for 24 hours before you log back in. After 24 hours it will say whether your payment has been successful.
