BACOLOD – Five women were rescued by authorities Wednesday morning from a home allegedly being used as a cybersex den in Barangay Cansilayan, Murcia, Negros Occidental.
The house is being rented by a Dutch national, Barteld Simon Eenkhoorn, and his Filipino wife Melody Bacaraon.
Mayor Andrew Montelibano received information a month ago when one of the couple's former recruits reported to authorities the couple's alleged illegal operation.
Two of the five rescued women are minors, who said they were made to undress while chatting with foreigners through the internet.
Members of the Anti-Cybercrime Group joined the Philippine National Police in the raid.
Sr. Insp. Michael Virtudazo said this is the first time they raided a cybersex den in the province of Negros Occidental.
The couple, who was formerly based in Bacolod City, transferred to their residence in Murcia two months ago.
They are now detained at the Murcia Police Station following the arrest.
Based on the records of the Bureau of Immigration in Bacolod, Eenkhoorn arrived in the province last February and probably has a “balikbayan” status since he was able to marry a Filipina.
The PNP has to seek an order from the court to prevent the suspect from going out of the country.
A case of human trafficking and child abuse is set to be filed against the couple.
The helper of the couple will stand as one of the witnesses in the case and is set to testify on how the victims are allegedly forced to undress in front of a camera.

A good week for the Philippine authorities and a bad week for the dutch!
Hopefully this sleaze ball is not deported and left to rot in some Philippine jail.
