Greetings of peace everyone. It's been 4 months since my last post, plenty of new topics to read to catch up and more stories to share!
With regards to my last post, I was supposed to join HS2 as Quality Engineer on 15 April 2013. However, after our holidays in the Philippines, 13 April I got another offer. Obviously I chose the 2nd company - salary is the same but more benefits + private health care, higher pension share and working at home incentives.
My new office is in East Midland Airport but our projects are located in Cottam, Retford and Pocklington, York. I stayed in the hotel next to National Grid Office for the first 2 months of my employment since Trefor and I were renting a place in Oxford. It was a hard arrangement to be 4 nights a week away from my husband dear but its part of the decision making so no choice but to deal with it.
To sort the weekly travel and nights away dilemma, Trefor bought a house near to my workplace and we moved to Leicestershire on 26 June.
Everybody from Leicester, nearby counties or anyone interested please feel free to come over for drinks and/meal.

On weekdays I'm a Compliance Manager and on weekends I'm working as Labourer and Gardener.

Hi Rosie, my name is Rose . Thanks for the message. One of the good things about this development is the big front and back garden. Trefor at the moment is busy at the back digging the areas opposite the family room and dinning room to extend the patio for garden table. Shed is already in place and later on a pergola will be built by my brother-in-law. The middle part will be lawn and edges are flower bed. I have few flowers planted on the pot for the side walls. Our front so far is lawn, varieties of flowers on pots beside the entrance door, box hedging and a climbing rose at the side wall near the garage. More digging and planting to go!

Congrats Rose and good luck with the new work. :xxgrinning--00xx3:
I wish we can afford to transfer too to another location where I can have a work related/the same with my past work, but unfortunately, we don't have the necessary means for that. :NoNo:

Hi Rayna, thanks for that.
Trefor is an IT Specialist and he is working at home though travelling Europe most of the times. On my case, I can seat either in the office/project or at home depends on my work load. I'm visiting projects for data collection and then work home for writing procedures, guidelines, inspection and test plan and creating checklists. Maybe this kind of job you need to find.
Good luck on your search. I know it's not easy to find but worth it once you're in! Cheers

That sounds wonderful Rose! Sending you the very best of luck with your garden, please do post a photograph when it's eventually finished as I am sure that others will be interested to see it too :xxgrinning--00xx3:
