£300,000 plus £65,000 in costs is a tidy fine and eats into a lot of their profits on strawberries.:xxgrinning--00xx3:

Tesco has been fined £300,000 after admitting it misled customers over whether strawberries on sale were genuinely "half price".

Good news but Tesco should have been fined more and sadly the old girl who started the ball rolling passed away before it came to court

Its not just strawberries, cheese and wine are often advertised at half price but u would have to be a mug to buy it at what they state is their original price which may have been advertised at an out of the way store and never left the shelf due to ridiculous pricing.
Lets face it they are out to extract as much money from your wallet as they can and they are not in business to do the public any favours.
