:NoNo: a warning to those who want the death penalty, her boyfriend was wrongly found guilty of her murder and spent 6yrs in prison, even worse his friend was sent to prison for perverting the course of justice :doh

A man has been jailed for life for killing a 19-year-old woman more than a decade after her boyfriend was wrongly jailed for the crime.

The death penalty for 100% proven guilt (DNA, eyewitnesses, CCTV, caught red-handed etc).

Fortunately some guys, like the kidnapper in America (Ariel Castro), do society a favour and remove themselves from it.

Indeed.

This is such a tragic case. The boyfriend wrongly convicted of murder and his friend also convicted, when he was just helping to look for the girl. Also the friends and family of the victim.

So many lives ruined. :NoNo::NoNo::NoNo:

Yeah read this one today and you cant help but feel sorry for the Boyfriend and his mate who probably would never have been released but for the BBC Rough Justice programme.
I slightly disagree with the Rachel's mum who used her interview today to still stick some blame on the boyfriend while at the same praising the police, who appear to have seriously messed up along the way.
Shahidul Ahmed alone was responsible for the murder of Rachel and due to the negligence of the police has been free for a lot longer than he should have. I hope he rots in jail :cwm23:

the :crazy:thing is, he pleaded guilty to so much so he wouldn't face the death penalty and then he goes and hangs himself :doh

i noticed that to, she didn't mention about him being wrongly accused, but said he shouldn't have left her, they had a row, well she was 19yrs old and why didn't they pick her up or go home with a friend ?

could have, should have and would have :doh
