Hello Gem,
You're almost right..............
Doesn't matter what visa you hold.
Whenever you apply to extend your leave to remain or apply for indefinite leave to remain, you are also required to enrol your biometrics as part of the application process.
Your application form to apply to extend your stay (or ILR) is also your application for a Biometric Residence Permit. So it's all done at the same time :xxgrinning--00xx3:
There's actually no other way you can apply for a BRP.
PS: I see you're in Long Buckby......not far from me......I know Long Buckby very well.
And it's true, it really is a very long village :icon_lol:

Thank you for the message.
It's reassuring to receive your comments, as we were concerned that we had overlooked this aspect of the application process.
It is also most interesting to hear that you live not far from me-how do you know Long Buckby?

I was going on the thought that BRP is issued if your applying from overseas but I know you just have to have a vignette in your passport.
As Terpe said for FLR and ILR then a BRP is issued as part of the application process..:xxgrinning--00xx3:
