Hi there,
Please bear with me while I briefly describe the problem.
My wife is here on a spouse visa, we have now applied for her daughter. We applied online, paid the fee printed the documents and were about to ship the docs to the Philippines when a last minute check showed there was a mistake on the visa application ( one number was typed in wrong regarding her daughters passport number)
We are completely devastated, we have written the correct number on the form and signed the error but they are so fussy that I'm sure they will refuse the application if submitted at interview in Manila.
I rang Croydon and they said to contact the UK embassy in the Philippines and contact VFS global in Manila (who do the interviews) and write covering letters to explain the error. But...... they said they do not know if that will be enough to correct the mistake.
If you know and understand about this process can you advise us what to do ? Needless to say my wife is upset and believes this is a sign her daughter is not meant to be in the uk. I just believe I made a bad mistake that can be fixed if we do the right procedure.
Please, please help.
