I am not sure , how about your baby's GP (pediatrician) or your OB GYne?( because they were the one who were there when you gave birth.

your baby's doctor would be alright...they need counter signatories just to prove that the photo you are going to submit is the true likeness of the applicant. I applied my baby's british passport when he was 1 1/2 years old and his pediatrician signed it. Never had a problem. I believed his pediatrician is the best person to sign it since he/she knows your baby since born.

I went to british embassy manila last monday , I apply 1st for my baby birth cert. then after checking the docs and it was okay, they accept my baby application it was great coz the woman incharge to check the docs says its complete so thank God. Then I submit all the docs for my baby british passporr.

*c2 form for my child passport application
* birth cert.of my daughter (NSO)
* parents birth cert.
*parents passport

the countersignatory for my baby passport application was my teacher before when I was high school and she is now a school head of the school. She knows me for 20 years since when I was little girl. Shes my neighbor too. She filled up the form and she stamp the form..

I just want to put another input here just in case you want to register you child at british embassy manila. There is no bmd 001-007 can be found in there website, only bmd 001-012, just download that form and when you got to the embassy they will give you the bmd 001-007 form..

the fees for passport is 12,540 pesos which is different from their website...
