Anybody know where (in the uk) we can buy a decent size steamer?

The one we currently have isn't anywhere near big enough to cook up puto or anything for that matter. It needs to be one you just put on a gas ring and not an electric one.

If not maybe we should get one sent from the philippines.

Try a local Chinese supermarket for the bamboo bowls you can stack on top of a wok or saucepan :Erm:

I just use my rice cooker to steam (cooked puto with cheese and siomai last weekend). When Keith bought the rice cooker for me, it has a pan for steaming (something like the photo below). Although I just steamed 6 puto at a time but it will do me well. :xxgrinning--00xx3:
