:Erm: one million Poles came to the UK, if they are not claiming benefits and are working, then that's 1 million jobs British Citizens could be doing instead of being on the dole :doh
On 1 January, 2014, workers from Bulgaria and Romania will be free to come and work in the UK. Meanwhile, a new report has been published by the European Commission which looks at benefit tourism within the European Union.

Don't you all realise that we need these foreign workers to provide the services in our hospitals, transport services, "Rachman" style living accommodation for all their fellow foreign workers that are here.
It does not make sense that by removing all these immigrants we would not need to have our hospitals and other services staffed by foreigners :Erm:does it :doh

There is a lot of things wrong here. You could say why invite foreign student here to study? Suerly that means less places for british students. The only reason I can think why they are invited here is to make money out of them. Then you have the government moaning that there is no skilled british workers. It baffles me.

Quite right Andy. It is about the money.
The government will also tell you that it is about that money helping to finance these seats of learning for our own kids, and that foreigners studying here will take home with them warm and cosy feelings about our country...thereby contributing to our influence in the world.
Personally I'm happy if they just return home after they've completed their studies and in some cases.... don't participate in terrorist activities.
As far as world influence goes...some of the world's worst dictators and terrorists have taken full advantage of our education system in the past, plus I've yet to be convinced about the wisdom of educating your competitors. :Erm:
We don't seem to get a lot of thanks for it, but certainly end up losing a lot of business and jobs.

I have stopped watching question time as they have idiots on every week, with plants in the audience. Seems to be one long political broadcast.
