Hello everyone. I have just joined the site. Looking to make new friends. I have been to Phils many times and just love the place (well most things about it anyway). So please feel free to impart useful information. Have a good day all of you.

Hi sentinent and welcome aboard Filipino UK :welcomex:
That's an interesting handle....how did you settle on that one?
Regarding useful information, as irishman says, what are your areas of interest?
Where in the Philippines have you visited ? and how did you decide where to visit?
We have a diverse membership and we also have a number of adventurers who love island hopping.
Enjoy:xxgrinning--00xx3:

On my first visit to Phils I went to Cebu (for a date - which was a disaster). I have also visited Bohol. But for about 5 years now I have visited Manila solely for about 6 months each year. I have met some smashing people. I stay in a hotel each time which works out quite expensive over time. I would love to connect with someone who is willing to rent me a condo in the ermita/malate area. Then I can continue the search for the woman of my dreams. I thought I had met a number of them in the past but they all had a number of boyfriends other than me. :Help1:

Welcome - You are very lucky having the circumstances to stay 6 months at a time - many of us struggle to go over for maximum 2 weeks once a year.
I think if I was over for that long I would make friends with a few genuine ex-pats and get to know their social circle - it would probably be the best way of getting to know someone really well. They doubtless could recommend someone and know their background.
I'd also get out and see some of the country rather than being stuck in Manila.
But all the best and I hope in the next trip you find the woman of your dreams.....

Yeah...you'd get a girl of your dreams, alright....as long as it's got nothing to do with cooking cleaning and a general homemaker that, you can be sure of :NoNo:

Welcome to the forum sentinent, I got a friend who owns a condo for rent at affordable price but its located in front of MOA. Me & my husband stayed there (3 times) and I can say its way better compare to expensive hotels. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

I have tried to contact Irishman12 via his profile page. Unfortunately because I am a new member to this board I am not yet allowed to view anyone's profile page. So I hope Irishman12 reads this post and contacts me so that we can discuss the possibility of renting a condo from him. Thanks for the advice I have received so far from everyone. And it would be great if I could meet up with stevewool personally at some time so that we can get to know each other.

It's not wise to have personal e-mail details published on a public forum.
If both you and Sherie agree I will be sure to exchange e-mails for you.

Thanks. I hope that soon I will be allowed to send a pm via this forum. However at present I am not allowed to do that because I am a new member. I do not know whether I am allowed to receive pms at this stage.

Due to previous abuse of the PM system we've needed to implement some restrictions.
We can always facilitate any important communications between members who are not able to use the forum PM system.
Don't forget that there is also the 'Visitor Message' route. Just leave a message on that member Visitor page.
Also you can use the forum 'Chat' feature
