Hi im new here and need an advice about my spouse visa application. Im going to apply this month, but I do not have my husband's original documents. What he will do is scan all of them and send it to my email. Then I'll print them out and also provide xerox copies. Will the scan docs be okay to the embassy? PLease please help me! :NoNo:

Hi hershychocolate, welcome to Filipino UK :welcomex:
Please take a look at this UKBA webpage called Documents required (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/partners-families/citizens-settled/spouse-cp/documents/)
It clearly states "All supporting documents must be originals, not copies"
The immigration rules however, do allow some specific flexibility by stating Any documentary evidence must be the original (not a copy) unless indicated otherwise...
Any documentary evidence not original must be authenticated/certified/validated in some way.
For example:-
Bank statements must be on official bank stationery. Alternatively electronic bank statements can also be accepted for all bank accounts (the account itself does not have to be exclusively online) as long as they are either accompanied by a letter from the bank on its headed stationery confirming that the documents are authentic or which bear the official stamp of the issuing bank on every page.
and
Payslips must be original formal payslips issued by the employer and showing the employer‟s name, or be accompanied by a letter from the employer, on their headed paper and signed by a senior official confirming they are authentic
In summary, your starting point must be to supply original documents.
Authenticated / validated/ certified copies may be used where specifically permitted by UKBA
There are quite a few folks who have been successful utilising scanned copies/photocopies only, but mostly these were achieved before the new rules of 9th July 2012
I've not heard of anyone submitted only scanned copies since then.
The rules are clear, and in my considered opinion this UK visa application is too serious and too costly to ignore.
Choose original over copy wherever possible/practical.

You're permitted only one registered user account on the forum, not two.
So which one do you want to keep ?
