Groves v Froch

What a fight. I have to say that Groves surprised me with his strategy. His tactics were bang on. Stoppage too early? Better to be safe than sorry.

Great fight, on balance probably stopped too early and robbed Froch of an undisputed victory.

The stoppage will leave the 'what if' question hanging in the air whilst Carl would almost certainly have knocked him out later in the ninth or possibly the 10th round had the ref not stepped in so early.

Groves should have taken a knee to regain his composure and legs but I believe that the outcome wouldn't have been different.

The flight went to script with Groves taking the early rounds (and how) but Froch showing his durability and taking control from the middle rounds.

Groves looked gassed by the end; maybe he'll change his tactics should the re-match happen.
