Hello
I know we all look at various e-commerce web sites and sometimes Iwonder if my payment is going to be hijacked and then end up with a call from the fraud dept of my credit Card Company.

With xmas coming it may be if use to some of you to verify the web site before punching in your details, so head over to the following link and paste in the URL.
This form will verify the integrity of the certificates and the strength of the encryption ciphers and importantly the version of SSL that are in play.

The other useful bit on this site is the Browsercheck, you may or may not know that hackers use holes in the Browsers and Plugins to intrude on your privacy so utilising browsercheck does a full scan of your browser, flash, java and other plug ins and warns you if it needs updating - with a FIX button you can simply and automatically update the weak components and at least take some steps to ensuring you are safe browsing on the line..

https://browsercheck.qualys.com/

These are free tools and well worth using in a world where hackers are looking at vulnerabilities in our laptops and desktops..

These do not replace any Anti Malware/Virus software but just keep you up to date with issues in flash and java and MS updates.

Happy browsing!
