Hello all,
I am attempting to apply for the fiancée \ proposed civil partner UK visa for my fiancée, detailed below:
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/partners-families/citizens-settled/fiancee-proposed-cp/
I am using this link to create the application and the options of settlement marriage as there is no option for fiancé.
https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/Account/Login?ReturnUrl=%2fApplication%2fSelectVisa%3fonBehalfOf%3dY&onBehalfOf=Y
Reason for visit: Settlement
Visa Type: Settlement
Visa Sub Type: Marriage
Is this correct please? When I get to sponsor details of this form there is also no option for Fiancé for sponsor, only family members in a drop down list.
It seems these are new forms and I wonder if they are finished.
Any guidance very much appreciated.
Thanks
Joe

Hi Joe, welcome aboard Filipino UK :welcomex:
That last link appears to be a Beta link.
The usual link is on this page called Applying for a UK visa in the Philippines (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/countries/philippines/applying/?langname=UK English)
If you look to the RH side you'll see 'Do It Online - Apply for a visa online"
Seems that's a broken link though.
Your best bet is to contact either the British Embassy or alternatively VFS to find out what's going on.
The form you'll need is the VAF4A
That's one of those generic 'one-form-fits-all'
I've not recently checked out the online process so can't make any updated comment.
Posted somewhere but can't remember where.

Joe if it follows the usual process, you'll choose settlement and then marriage...have you tried that ?

Hmmm, whichever route I try to use I'm getting this message:-
"Sorry, the page you are looking for could not be found"
looks like something may be broken

Yes that is also the message I get, following the link from the fiancé info page.
It may be that they are between systems at the moment.
Thanks, I will send them an email and try to confirm.

The UK Border Agency has admitted its Visa4UK website has collapsed after the world and their aunt tried to log on.
On its website, the UKBA apologised for any inconvenience to visa-seekers wanting to get into Britain. It advised people to go to a visa centre in the real world if they are desperate to plan their visits.
In a statement, the UKBA said: "We are currently receiving high volumes of traffic following an upgrade to Visa4UK, our online visa applications system. As a result, you may experience problems accessing the new Visa4UK website.
"If you need a visa in a genuine emergency, please contact your local visa application centre who will be able to assist you.
"If you have recently completed a visa application on the old Visa4UK website and want to view it and, or print it, please see the Visa4UK legacy page."
Twitter is full of grumbles about Britain's rubbish visa site

Hi Joe, did you manage to find out where to apply and what forms should be used. We are having exactly the same problem applying for the fiancé visa, its seems they’ve changed the forms and process overnight!

No, I am still struggling.
I follow link below which I was given after I emailed them for help. (info.ukph@vfshelpline.com)
https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/Account/Login?ReturnUrl=%2fApplication%2fSelectVisa%3fonBehalfOf%3dY&onBehalfOf=Y
This says 'beta' at the top but it seems like it is the new system.
I chose the 'settlement' - 'settlement' - 'marriage' option for creating a new application.
There isn't a specific fiancé option (although there is a proposed civil partner - which is confusing).
In the form there is no option for sponsor of fiancé either, only family relatives.
Before spending the £800+ I want to be sure that this is the right form.
Anyone else had experience of the new forms please?

Hi jasper999.
Thats what I did too, except for the last one where I put wife. I rang vfs yesterday and the woman I spoke to told me I did the correct one.
BTW, have you lodged your wife's application yet?

Hi Gladz,
I already submitted the online form but haven't booked the appointment yet as I want the February dates and they aren't available yet. I have yet to pay as well.
VFS emailed me and they told me I had got the correct option, which I have in writing just in case. But I explained in the additional information what type of visa we are applying for, so I hope it will be ok.
The problem is that it is a single generic form for all visa types.
Good luck

Hi Gladz,
Well we just typed Jenalyn's full name in there and then submit.
We have our appointment at the embassy at the end of February.
Are you already married with your partner Gladz?

Ok thanks.
That explains why VFS advised you to choose the wife option.
We are engaged at this point in time and so were advised to select settlement - marriage.
Just in case anyone else is reading and it wasn't clear.
Thanks
