Just want to say my wife Jamie has finally landed a job a year after arriving in the UK.
After meeting fellow filipinos in our community a couple of months ago who work in the nursing/care sector things have developed to the fact she has been offered a position as a carer for a disabled filipino guy just on our doorstep.
To say she is thrilled is an understatement even though initially for only 12 hours per week all in a one day shift she is so chuffed at the prospect of finally becoming independant.
With more contacts among the filipino community here at our local hospital things are looking up for her at last with possible employment there also even though it would start as an auxillary nurse until she finally passes the IELTS level 7 and her dreams come true in her vocation to finally become a RGN.
So proud of her...:waver:
