well xmas has gone and the next big thing is new years eve, i hate new years eve, its a big let done i think, 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1, then its the same, nothing has changed,
Anyway back to the title, Xmas dinner, the turkey, and all the trimmings i could have gone without, give me some rice and what ever went with it and i would have been just as happy, what ever Ems cooks is just so much more taste then anything i can cook, so am i changing, or just being lazy with the cooking

My boy phoned to proudly announce that he'd cooked a full Xmas dinner for himself and his girlfriend....for which I congratulated him.

Meanwhile, I had thoroughly enjoyed my baked beans on toast with sausages.

Spot on Steve. I used to like New Year but it soon gets tedious after awhile.

New Years Eve is forced/expected happiness and you pay £50 to get into a pub that is normally free

In London Xmas brings more hassle than normal huge traffic jams and supermarkets packed

supermarkets running out of food
Xmas/New year days are just the same as any other day

I love turkey breast straight out of the oven and its not that dry if you know how to cook it properly :wink:

Being a Taxi driver I can see that many, many people can't wait for it to be over-especially older people. It's great when your a kid but year after year of the same thing is boring.

New years eve is the biggest con of all to me, in town everyone end up fighting as the expectations are always higher than the reality-plus everyone is pissed.

Roll on January all back to normal, days getting lighter, thinking of holidays etc etc :biggrin:
