A restaurant in Guildford is facing a fine of up to £30,000 for employing illegal workers following an operation by our enforcement team.

It's a bit more than a few quid.
Imagine employing some on minimum wage and paying over the required PAYE (tax/Ni)
It soon adds up to a considerable sum.
Don't forget many of these 'crooks' will claim to have done their best in checking documents and avoid paying any fines at all.

I can't understand why any right thinking person parts with their money and dines in such dubious establishments - not only do they risk a potentially fatal dose of Listeria or E Coli they also contribute to the profits of the rogue business owners
