new lens

i am looking for a new lens, a wide angle but not too wide, some pictures i was taking on holiday i could not fit in the picture frame so i am looking just for a everyday cheap lens that can do this, any suggestions remember its for a nikon

I too use a Nikon and I recommend Nikon's own 18-55mm standard zoom. It covers almost all your needs I find.

sillly me, i sold one of these ages ago, a very good lens too, if the price is right might reinvest in one

You can pickup 2nd hand 18-55mm lens pretty cheaply £55-£65 last time I looked, but worth looking at the 18-105mm if you can increase the budget?
