We just visited Palaui Island and the surrounding area. It's remote, but a beautiful part of the Philippines. In fact, we stayed at the same place that the crew based themselves for the filming of Survivor.

When we visited the island, we hired a couple of guides to take us on a trek to the waterfalls. They had worked on Survivor, building the sets, platforms, etc.

Palaui is well worth a visit. There's no development there, just a few small fishing villages, a coastguard station and the disused Cape Engano Lighthouse. We didn't see any other tourists either! :xxgrinning--00xx3:
