Always double check everything before you book. Best to get your partner to check the details as well. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Interesting article.
If it was me I'd have cancelled the whole ticket much sooner. Might have reduced the financial loss.

Terrible customer service from all concerned......including Philippine Airlines ....

This wouldn't of happened if they'd booked it through an abta registered travel broker

I booked direct through Etihad this time. All online, including selecting my seats.
No hiccups and less than 600 quid...can thoroughly recommend them.

You can't grumble at that :xxgrinning--00xx3: I paid £624 for my first Philippines trip in April 2006

Agreed! I paid £730 return ... for each of my trips - from Manchester and Heathrow, respectively, to Davao Itl. - with Singapore Airlines, in 2008.

Oh ... :yeahthat:s bad! Clearly a case for the inimitable Anne Robinson and her tenacious investigatory team at BBC's 'Watchdog'!
