Well I have seen it in the movies but didn't think it would happen to me.

A passenger collapsed at 35000 feet somewhere above Russia and I ended up treating them as I am a nurse.

They were hypothermic and unresponsive.
The cathay flight attendants got me a medical kit including stethoscope, thermometer, bp cuff and blood glucose testing kit.

I was the only medical professional on board.

Got a set of vital signs and Warmed the passenger up and she was fine.

So a collapse ? Cause.

To say thanks I got 75 US dollars in vouchers for my next flight.

Now on the train on the way home.

Missing Sheina lots.

Well done mate.

Where would we be without heros and caring people like you ? :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Oh, and I can really empathise with your 'withdrawal' symptoms...having just got back myself on Tuesday. :bigcry:

I've heard the call for medical assistance a few times on flights. Although I have no training, I always say yes, they never check

I didn't get any applause but a few people said well done when we were all picking our luggage up at reclaim.

Can't believe I was in Cebu just over 18 hours ago.

Feels weird being back.

Pictures to follow soon.

Thanks guys. It felt good to help. And lovely to receive the vouchers.

Nice story......and a big well done for your volunteering to help.

I think we all know those feelings of farewell and returning home alone. :bigcry:

Try to keep busy focussed on next steps to reach your hearts desires.

The flight was the second leg (Hong Kong to Heathrow).

I didn't actually see many pinoys. Mostly Chinese and Westerners.

I'd be a tad worried if they had announced "are there any people with plane flying experience on board"
