hi, can someone please tell me if my wife has passed her English toeic test. I worked out that she has passed the listen 385, converts to 75 out of a 100....the pass mark is 60 for A1

but I cannot find any conversion for the speaking which she scored 120(200) the pass mark is 50 for A1....or is this mark already converted....if this is the case....she passed. Yes??

hope someone can shed some light on it for me.

A1 = Listening - 60
Speaking - 50

A2 = Listening - 110
Speaking - 90

B1 = Listening - 275
Speaking - 120

B2 = Listening - 400
Speaking - 160

From what you've mentioned I'm of the opinion she has passed at B1 level
This is good news as it means she already now achieved the grade for her future ILR and Naturalisation in addition to her required Entry Visa Application which requires only A1 level

BTW, UKBA is only interested in the scores for Listening and Speaking.

I'd kindly suggest a contact call to the Hopkins test centre where she took the test to secure their confirmation for your peace of mind.

hi Terpe....bit confused, if the TOEIC test results are only valid for 2 years and we have not yet applied for our spouse visa, hopefully June after we find out the result on sputum tb test. How can that be used for ILR? Isn't that over the time limit on TOEIC test result??

Will, where do you get that information from?
It's incorrect.
Besides, far too early for you to be thinking 5 years hence.
A lot can happen in that time :smile:

I was emphasising the positive ........onwards and upwards :Jump:
