Celebrating 2nd Anniversary in Barcelona

Hola, buenas tardes. Hope everybody's OK. Nice and bright over here. Today is our 5th day in Barcelona and travelling back home tomorrow.


Time flies so fast and 2 years in relationship with Trefor feels long time ago. I LOVE TREFOR EVEN MORE AND I AM PROUD HE IS MY HUSBAND!


In those 2 years I have learned the top 4 things I love about my husband and our relationship.


1. TLC - Trefor calls me princess and treats me like a queen. My happiness is his priority! He is thoughtful, organise, funny, loyal, trustworthy, smart, good company and honest. He is always ready to listen during hard times and won't give up until everything is sorted. He is such a cool husband!


2. Travelling - Trefor loves to surprise me. For the past 2 years we have travelled and visited Philippines 4 times, then Dubai, Singapore, Oman, France and now Barcelona. Next stop is Rome and in June we are heading to Germany for the TVR Carshow.


3. Spending - Trefor and I are both working hard and expecting nothing from each other. He is careful on spending money and he loves planning and budgeting - I really admire him for that! We value every penny and wasting is not our game. We don't buy anything unnecessary, if we have 10 things on our list we buy the priorities and save for the rest, we don't go for the brands instead quality and we're buying stuff online to save few quid. Above all, NO to CREDIT CARD! We are blessed, our salaries are enough to pay our expenses and at the same time save for our future.


4. I Love You and Thank You - very important words for every couples. We say these constantly and we mean what we say. These are also the last words you'll hear from our bedroom before a good night sleep.


It's very important for me to feel safe, loved and secured and I found it in Trefor - my life, my happiness!

We had a fabulous time in Barcelona......right on a beautiful beach and promenade and far from the problems outlined by Dedworth.

Barcelona seems to be much safer these days, lots of Police presence to keep the tourists safe.

I remember that walk down the spiral staircase at Sagrada Família.....never again.....I'm not good with heights and felt very exposed and very high :yikes:

In the past 12 years I've been working in tall building construction, and now with overhead transmission lines (all high stuff) and same as you I'm still scared of heights - my hands get sweaty and my feet get cold! Never say die, life is an adventure:cwm34:

I surprised Rose with that one, she'd never have agreed to go up there if she realised, but she loved it in the end :biggrin:

Top tip: book the Sagrada visit online like I did - the queues went right along one side of the building/plot, would have resulted in several hours wait!

Myrna & I were there in Autumn 2012 and we loved it
Indeed I love Barcelona. I like the tapas concept - small portion of different varieties. The food is awesome and gaining a kilo is easy to do for me. A big good luck for myself on losing weight afterwards :Cuckoo:
