Does anyone know how to contact Philbox? (website hacked, 4 CCJ's against the company in the last few months - so not looking good)
It has now been a year and the balikbayan box has not arrived... most likely the goods have been lost, I have seen lots of bad press about them... :(
My ex's family do not believe that i sent the box...

Sadly this looks like one of the many balikbayan 'agents' that are unregulated and out to make a quick buck.
Is it a registered UK limited company or simply a sole trader/partnership ?
If it's the former you should be able to get the Director(s) information and registered office.

found the facebook details of the director and his wife along with one of his two children - it's a limited company who people have already claimed against.. they are simply not replying to communication :(
My sister works in finance and did a search on the company and they have one of the lowest possible scores - if i had known this then, i would not have used them.. boxes sent January last year arrived though mine was sent in Feb or March and these are stuck at the port from what i understand...
Guess you get what you pay for.. been let down twice now..

Chino, sometimes the larger organisations can't be pinned down on drop-off and pick-up times....but they're eventually reliable and pretty quick.
Try someone LBC or Forex and see if they operate in your area.
Sorry to learn about your poor experience.....don't let it put you off too much......organisations like LBC are not small time operators

I agree... i am contacting the customs directly as i am sure they will see sense and let someone collect it for me..
Just got to have faith!

In this country we try to contact the sender if something is held up in customs. However we destroy an awful lot of customs held stuff at my work. But we do make every attempt to contact the sender first.
Not nice to see it being auctioned off!

Anythings worth trying chino.....I remember a TV Patrol feature about such happenings (many more than you might imagine). The Customs folks made a point that there were no documentations (shipping details etc)....as such they were not allowed to release for delivery.
It's not right at all since each box have the recipients name and delivery address on it......
Get some top people involved.......like the President.
Red tape in the extreme. IMO
Feel sad for you and the intended recipients

Thanks for your feedback, on a facebook thread they have said that i should be able to get my things - just need to call Monday AM, as you can guess i will be...
I am annoyed, though i understand that i do not need to be angry as i am 7000 miles away and it will not help anything...
