I was told by a friend of a friend who recently applied for visa that if the settlement(spouse) visa is refused the embassy would of contacted very soon (within 2 weeks-1 month)? And, the longer you wait for your visa the higher is the chance to get approved? Is this correct? It's been 10 weeks since I submitted my application and Im feeling hopeless .:bigcry::bigcry::bigcry:

Hi Alexis,
We put in our application on February 7 and still waiting. I have been looking around, and there are a lot of people all waiting from about the same time. Its very annoying that many countries are being offered priority service at Manila, yet applications from the Philippines are not allowed the priority service at the processing hub in their country!
I read a few weeks ago about IT issues the embassy was has having, so I guess there are delays in Manila.
I know how you feel... it's very stressful.

Hi Alexis! I think that is true, but not really sure. I met a girl at d cfo last year she got refused and she was contacted in 1 month. You will be contacted too if there was a problem on your documents or if your visa is refused. I think theres just a delay so stop worrying and keep yourself busy. Goodluck on your application.

Not true it could take up to 3 months for a decision to be made.

HELLO MICKJAY! Can you let me know when your visa is ready? Or if you have received an email from the embassy? I lodged mine on February 6.

Hi Alexis,

My fiancée has just received the email 'Your visa will be dispatched shortly...' Yours should be through any day now. It's taken us 8 weeks.
God bless.
