I really sympathise with you both. It is very stressful that's for sure.

Can I take it she's planning to apply for ILR ??

I do pray she'll achieve the needed ESOL.....is that the one with citizenship course ?

If she's planning for ILR and time is running out then she should apply for another FLR(M) until eligible for ILR.
As soon as she has Life in UK and English Language B1 then she can apply for ILR immediately. There's no need to wait the 30 months for the FLR(M) to expire.
As always just comes down to budgets.

Hope that helps to ease the stress and the pressure your wife must surely be feeling.

I wish I had gone done the EEA route as both myself and our son have Irish passports

But we went with the spouse visa and we regret it

So I think we will have no options now and shall have to apply for FLR if she can't pass the retest I booked for her Life in the UK test

Is there anything that would be the equivalent of the life in the test?
The esol course is the cefr one

she needs to secure both in order to qualify for ILR. sorry to hear about that but try and try until she achieve whats needed to be achieved. back her up, support her, understand her so she wont feel that she alone. hope she do well with the English test.

That's really unfortunate, what she needs to do is do some quality free practice tests. Try:
1)ilrtest.com Free Life in the UK Practice tests
2)testlifeuk.co.uk

Basically failing 1 free practice test saves you £50. When she starts to pass most of them she should book her test, I can almost guarantee that she will pass. These tests are harder that the official test usually. I passed my test using those resources. Good luck!

Thanks I agree it's so unfair that others can enter the uk purely cause they live in another European country even then can't speak English they are able to come here to take benefits
I work full time and pay my rent and my wife and my child I am supporting on £400 a month after I pay our bills and rent and these Romanians can enter here you go free house free money free everything it's really makes me bitter and mad with anger the British government are so cruel
I wish Damien green Teresa May and all the other mps can suffer what they making us suffer

Well unfortunately that's how politics works... No wonder Scotland wants to become independent of Westminster
