Do you mean checking your credit worthiness on Experian or something Steve?

Les, I have just changed my bank and they did a credit check, there was no problems at all, in fact lots of praise or bull s--t just to get me into their bank.
I know what I have and dont have, but I just wondered what are they checking

They routinely check accounts to make sure you are not a declared Bankrupt and on a more commercial side to see what level of credit/bank loans they have to tempt you with.
They will have checked your credit report and obviously found no problems :xxgrinning--00xx3:

For anyone who is interested in a completely free Credit Check Report (updated monthly)
Take a look here at Noddle (https://www.noddle.co.uk/)
All the data you need to check on what 'others' see when you have a credit check or search (and who's doing the searching and why)
I'd agree with you Steve......not worth paying for.......but when you can get the information for free then why not.
You'll be updated about all 'on file information' and it should also help with minimising identity fraud and also ensuring that data held on you is at least as accurate and up to date as possible.
Knowing and understanding what these outfits have on record about us is worthwhile IMO
