It's a small world, another one of Cameron's mates popping up again. I wonder why Cameron is so keen on the deal

Don't forget Cameron's bankrupt mate who had to quit a gov job recently :NoNo:

A lobbyist friend of David Cameron is at the heart of the hostile bid by American drugs giant Pfizer to take over British rival AstraZeneca, it emerged yesterday.

Yep...all a bunch of robbing crooks. More of the 'family silver' being disposed of to foreigners, who quite OBVIOUSLY have no interest in either the welfare of the workforce or the future of this country. :NoNo:

I don't know it's one of the biggest drug companies there is, so Pfizer's have given assurances, but that's all it is, how many times have we seen the family sliver, British companies sold off and assets stripped :NoNo:

A French chief executive, Swedish chairman, 40 percent of its sales in the United States and 87 percent of its staff overseas.

51,500 employees worldwide, 6,700 of them in Britain

How to define a 'company' nationality?
Is it where it was founded, where most of the employees are, the location of it's headquarters, the nationalities of it's top execs or where it pays most of its taxes?

I don't have any strong opinions on it.......just discussing

It's a mixed race company formed out of Sweden and UK although perhaps we can claim it as it's listed on the LSE

Cameron says making good progress on Pfizer guarantees

"I think the right thing to do is to engage," Cameron told BBC Television. "To get stuck in with these companies, as I’ve done and my team of ministers has done, to make sure we get good guarantees and the best deal for Britain. We’ve made some very good progress."

:icon_lol: I wonder if Dave's been talking to his mate to make sure the deal goes thru, and if Dave's mate gets a bonus if it does :cwm25:
