Need a bit of help. I am ready and willing for hours and hours of Google searching! But maybe you can help me reduce that a bit with any links that you have. I am struggling a bit so far. As always - I am searching for advice for my friend.

Mother is settled in UK. ILR Awarded in 2013.

12 year old daughter is in Philippines - wants to come to uk. Family members are caring for child.
How to proceed?

Mother applies for Citizenship this year.....and adds Daughter? Or some other way?

Daughter comes on some other Visa and then they both apply for Citizenship?

Where can I find checklists for everything that is required (in both countries)? Proof of earnings? Healthy bank account?
Daughter's passport application in Ph is already underway.

Been on the Home Office website - maybe I am looking at the wrong section. I can't see "Mother In UK, Child under 18 not in UK"

Any thoughts/advice/comments welcome! Is the process straightforward?

Thank You.

hi John, here's the links:

https://www.gov.uk/visas-immigration
https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/
http://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/philippines/

.. I don't know all about your friend's circumstances but everything is done online now, all the links are provided above for your friend to read and understand.

.. Your friend who will turn British Citizen needs to apply an ILE (Indefinite Leave to Enter) visa for her daughter in the Philippines to join and settle with her here in UK.

and yes the process is very straightforward as long as you got all your documents in hand.

Good luck
