Vintage Cheddar for me too, plus a strong smelly blue one at times.

Any strongish English Cheddar - mature, farmhouse, vintage etc. Be careful to check the EC Approval mark on the packaging. I once bought some that came from one of the Baltic countries

Your area is well different to mine Imagine!!.. Here we can get reasonably decent cheeses from all over the world..
How about the "Real" brand cheeses (same in UK)..You cant get those there?

Any British mature cheddar although I always tend to pick West Country for some reason when shopping.

It's got to be a mature Cheddar. But I also like some of the blue cheeses and Wensleydale with cranberries.

It's been great slowly educating my wife about the huge variety of cheeses available. When she first came here, she thought that cheese just either came as a flat slice or in a tube! :Cuckoo:

I love a good brie, but have also grown fond of American pepper jack. Can't say I'll ever like the cave cheese my sister brought home from France. That stuff was RIPE!

You can imagine Millipede and his pseudo intellectual Islington marxist chums tucking into some poncy organic alpine goat milk brie on fairtrade oatmeal biscuits
