Hi all,

Pinoys understand american english as the norm, so I was wondering if anyone can help translate some english words that I have come across but have not idea what it means. Here are some example:

scouser
plonker

Apologies if this has been discussed in the past, I've only back read back to August.

But normally used as an insult, meaning someones a bit of an idiot.

plonker is more of a southern insult i think, as used in fools and horses, not many Mancs ever used it. we just call people scousers instead :D

As we are talking about English English, here's a poser for you all.

When my beloved Oldham Athletic lose a match (On an all too frequent basis this season) - I say something like:

'Well, goodness me, what jolly awful luck the chaps are having at the moment.'

Actually, I don't QUITE say it in those words.

Who can get nearer to the true expression I expound?

* Plonker/ Berk (Scouse) > Grummy (Brummie) > Radge (Scottie) > Well I say - duffah (Jolly Well Spoken).
