Hello, from their website it says 1 of the following required:
Government-issued picture IDs such as the following:
Digitized SSS ID
Driver’s License
GSIS E-card
PRC ID
IBP ID
OWWA ID
Digitized BIR ID
Senior Citizen’s ID
Other acceptable picture IDs such as the following:
Old College ID
Alumni ID
Old Employment IDs
For driving licence I presume would have to convert foreign to Phils driving licence? Where 2 of the req are 4. Original copy of Medical Certificate with Official Receipt issued by an LTO accredited or Government Physician.
5. Negative drug test result issued by DOH accredited Drug Testing Center or Government Hospitals - how long would it take to get drug test result? Or for old employment ID - how old would be acceptable? Would appreciate any help. Thanks.
I think you would have to convert the foreign to Philippine license. You are no longer required to take a drug test when applying for a license. If you do decide to convert it can be done easily in a morning.
Why not contact them directly and ask about the old ID? They might reply!
Book the appointment online, as the whole process can be done in under one hour

Hello Jake, thanks for reply. If you do decide to convert, it can be done easily in a morning.
Does that apply for both foreigner and filipino?
It should apply for both.
The experience can vary depending on region. Here in Laguna it takes under 2 hours for them to issue a new plastic drivers license. In others areas you may get sent home with a piece of paper telling you to come back in 3 months time. Still a form of ID.
When I applied to have my Brit licence converted the woman in LTO said that I needed to have my British licence translated into English by my Embassy.
Luckily..I posses a good healthy British sense of humour.

3 months wouldn't be much good if I wanted to get passport next day

So how long did it take and where was that??

That was in Tagbilaran. I had to see a supervisor to get her to show me the bits she wanted to me to translate into English. She pointed out to the front of my old paper licence where it says "British driving licence" in about 4 different EU languages.
She accepted my translation abilities eventually and it was all good..
I wasted a good 30 mins.

Ok, so it only took 30 mins to get new license ? do u also need to get a medical certificate?

The medical examination is very basic. They will probably check your BP and do a eye site test. It won't take long!

Not sure..Just renewed mine and unlike last time I had only to endure a simple eye test and the lady doctor asking me if I lived anywhere near Princess Diana.

Hi Jake, just to follow up on the passport renewal - if I make an appointment for 7 day processing (7 working days?) and the appt is on a Friday - is Friday day 1? So it would be released on Monday of the following week? Thanks

The first working day would be Saturday. So it would be released on the Tuesday of the following week. If it is needed on that date pick it up in person, as they will add another 1 to 2 days for the courier service to deliver :cwm3:
Better to renew at the DFA in the malls, as the lines are usually shorter.
If for some reason you need to cancel the appointment it will say you cannot cancel within 5 working days. I had this problem a few months ago when i filled out my wife's online form. All i did was set a another new a appointment and the system automatically cancelled the original :anerikke:

Hi - where did you make the online appt?
I tried to do for Pasig City, but says:
"Sorry, slots not yet available. Please choose another date.
Or you may try other branches"

Are you sure Saturday is counted as a working day?
I see on the website that it's open on Saturday, but whether it's counted as a working day for processing, I'm not so sure as my relative applied in Cebu. 15 days' rush on - May 12 and release is due June 2 - for first time applicant, so Saturday isn't counted as a working day based on that! :Erm:
