Native speaker here. I've lived in the Philippines my whole life, and my work is in the field of education.

:yeahthat: Normally, as a Moderator, I would "scrub" a "canvassing" thread such as yours straightaway for the reason I've already mentioned. No offence intended!
You will note, however, I've temporarily deferred deleting a post such as yours due to its [possible] usefulness to those of our members here either wishing to learn Tagalog or ... :anerikke: ... brush~up on their current knowledge of the language - and also to allow you sufficient time to follow the steps suggested.
Arthur. He cant read your messages unfortunately as the thread is still on the moderation list..

:cwm24: ... that's strange, Fred, because the words 'Moderated Post' vanished from my page immediately after I'd "approved" the thread using the Moderation Tools and my two posts in reply thus counted towards my total.
No longer on moderated list Arthur.. Its gone live!

Yeah and I am quite confused, does she just mean teach tagalog to Brits, or the FILIPINO subject (academically)?

Apologies, I didn't know I had to ask permission for this kind of post. Feel free to delete the thread, sir. In reply, however, to the questions raised. Tagalog (the dialect) is Filipino (the language) for a fairly large part of the Philippine population. I was wondering if any members who were going to visit the Philippines would need a tutor. Anyway, delete if you must. Again, I apologize.

Thanks for the apology, but to be honest most of us have Filipina girlfriends, partners or wives and children, in my experience it is through them that we learn.
I understand that you might like to try and teach Tagalog to us so if you want to advertise please contact the forum Admin who will be happy to help you.

To the moderators, please delete this thread that I started. I feel embarrassed that I didn't read the forum guidelines. I no longer wish to tutor English so please, please delete the thread. Thank you.
