Beat the Gameover Zeus & CryptoLocker computer virus

Computer users with Windows are currently being urged by the National Crime Agency (NCA) to check their machines for a new computer virus. At least 15,000 computers have so far been infected with the virus, which contains two parts - Gameover Zeus and CryptoLocker.

I've just scanned ours with this :-

Microsoft Safety Scanner

Do you think your PC has a virus?

The Microsoft Safety Scanner is a free downloadable security tool that provides on-demand scanning and helps remove viruses, spyware, and other malicious software. It works with your existing antivirus software.

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner expires 10 days after being downloaded. To rerun a scan with the latest anti-malware definitions, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

The Microsoft Safety Scanner is not a replacement for using an antivirus software program that provides ongoing protection.

I'd better not post the link so Google "Microsoft Safety Scanner"

Most people have nothing to worry about, nothing wrong with giving this a blast though.

Just remember do not install 2 anti virus programs at the same time as you will slow up pc big time.

What Dedworth has recommended is ok as it's a one-off scan :xxgrinning--00xx3:
