Noticed the kids wearing bloody Burkas and the like, easy answer ban region from school. You can teach people to have good values but you don't need to bring religion into it.
Everyone wears the standard school uniform - compulsory.

Yes, but we are a Christian country, when I lived in the Middle East you had to follow their countries rules and they should do the same here, but no, we tend to allow them to make their own rules up....:cwm23:

Sorry i don't agree. My step daughter attends a very good Catholic school and there are many very good Christian schools AS YOU WOULD EXPECT IN A LARGELY CHRISTIAN COUNTRY.
There is nothing wrong with schools also teaching a faith as long as it's kept in perspective and the religious/moral education is an adjunct to the main education.

The trouble is what has gone on in Birmingham makes people think the opposite. I'm not against it but clearly when it comes to Islamic teachings it goes too far.

'Hellfire' Muslim teachers at 'Trojan Horse' school warned six-year-olds about 'white prostitutes'

disgusting filth
You know, we've rightly had teachers banned from teaching because they were BNP members. We had (some might remember) Ray Honeyford who was hounded from his teaching job in the 80's after giving an interview where he suggested non ethnic minority kids could be held back by minorities - the not speaking English as well thing probably.
Now here, we have allegedly had teachers leading pupils in anti-Christian chanting in assembly, use of the words "white prostitutes". Teachers telling pupils to harass non-muslim teachers, inviting extremists to give speeches in assembly etc.
Would someone like to try telling me that if this had been reversed, if the teachers had been posting anti muslim hatred on their open facebooks, if they had invited the EDL to give speeches at assembly, if there had been banning of mention of muslim festivals and chanting against muslims at assembly and if secular teachers had told pupils to harass a muslim teacher to get them to convert...........then the government wouldn't have immediately shut that school down, the police wouldn't by now have them behind bars and under questioning, and there wouldn't be every rent a mob left wing activist screaming outside the school?
Or does xenophobic racial and religious hatred only work one way?

Totally agree with this! :xxgrinning--00xx3::xxgrinning--00xx3::xxgrinning--00xx3:
It would fix a multitude of problems, including this "plot" in Birmingham. Teachers should concentrate on giving all children a decent education based on fact. Parents can then provide the religious mumbo jumbo at home if they so wish.
This system works in France and, of all places, the USA.
Also, I would argue that the UK is a "Post-Christian country". A good thing, too.

I would also have in place a system where a non muslim observer is present at every Mosque in the land to make sure hatred is not being preached.
Remember they are on our shores and why can't we keep an eye on them.
Surely they would have no objections :icon_lol:

It doesnt matter what OFSTED do or May and Gove. Islam is here to stay and it will spread.

No surprises that this was allowed to happen in Labour run Birmingham. They reckon there's similar in East London. It should be remembered that this went on in mainstream non "faith" schools, its about time serious consideration was given to closing down all "faith" schools

Some Muslim guy was on 5 Live denying everything (surprise surprise) but just heard it out of the mouth of babes a couple of minutes ago.
2 female students (hidden for protection) said how strict it was and they were segregated from the boys and if they chatted then their parents were informed - or even worse, they got a house visit.
Time to ban this Evil religion from this country forever.
Damn I wish I was in power :cwm23:

I thought these academies were set up to bypass local education authorities, so it's not really fair to blame the local Council. If you're financing them from Central Government and looking for parents/governors to have a greater involvement this sort of thing is going to happen when you go into a mainly Muslim area.
I think the Tories themselves think they messed up hence the fallout between Gove and May last week.
Anyhow, the problem has now been identified, so it's time to sort it out. I'm for getting rid of all faith schools and then you do away with this sort of problem. I actually heard a Muslim saying on the radio this morning that he sent his kids to this school for the last 7 or 8 years because of their quality of education and nothing to do with faith.

They're not "faith" schools Marco, that's why there is the reference to Trojan Horse. The Ofsted inspector said that Birmingham City Council had failed to support a number of schools in their efforts to protect pupils from the 'risks of radicalisation and extremism'. You won't see the Birmingham Director of Education losing his job though. It'll be interesting to see what they find out in Tower Hamlets, Bradford, Luton, Slough etc they're all Labour councils who as we know like to secure the ethnic vote by any means possible

Good comment from a reader :-
In America where I lived for years I can tell you the FBI would be involved in this as a threat to national security by subversion and prison would be waiting...........but in soft Britain you have a school panel investigating ....you could not make it up......
